Hutton Alumnus receives Honorary Doctoral Degree
The school of Social Work at California State University has awarded former Hutton Resident, David Favor an Honorary Doctoral Degree. He was honored for his long and dedicated service to children and families in California. When told of this honor, he said “this is the happiest day of my life.”

Even with Hutton’s big 90th Anniversary celebration this past summer, the campus life with all its activities did not stop, or even take a short hiatus. In fact, the momentum built up quickly (to make up for lost time) and everyone was on the activity fast track.

2008 Events and Accomplishments
• The extreme weather influenced many of the children’s activities this past winter. School was closed on occasion, a ski trip canceled because of frigid temperatures, but on the positive side, all the snow provided wonderful sledding. On one snowy day, a van full of Hutton children went around the Millwood community to shovel snow for those in need, including Millwood Presbyterian Church.
